Australian Citizenship Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Citizenship Act 1948.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1994.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Australian Citizenship Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 7A (Application for registration)

3.1   Subregulation 7A (3):

Omit ”$100”, substitute “$110”.

3.2   Paragraph 7A (4) (a):

Omit “$100”, substitute “$110”.

3.3   Paragraph 7A (4) (b):

Omit “$75”, substitute “$80”.

4.   Regulation 7E (Application for registration under section 10C of the Act)

4.1   Subregulation 7E (3):

Omit “$100”, substitute “$110”.

5.   Regulation 8 (Declaratory certificate of citizenship issued on application)

5.1   Subregulation 8 (2):

Omit “$50”, substitute “$55”.

6.   Regulation 9 (Fee on lodgment of application for grant of certificate of Australian citizenship)

6.1   Subregulation 9 (1):

Omit “$50”, substitute “$55”.

6.2   Subregulation 9 (1A):

Omit “pensioner health benefits card”, insert “pensioner health benefits card, pensioner concession card”.

6.3   Paragraph 9 (1B) (a):

After paragraph (a), insert:

• (aa)

  pensioner concession card; or”.

7.   Regulation 16 (Fee payable in respect of declaration of desire to resume citizenship)

7.1   Omit “$50”, substitute “$65”.

8.   Regulation 18 (Fee payable in respect of application under subsection 44A (2) of the Act

8.1   Omit “$50”, substitute “$55”.

9.   Regulation 19 (Prescribed fee for the purposes of paragraph 46A (1) (c) of the Act)

9.1   Omit “$50”, substitute “$55”.
