Australian Citizenship Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Australian Citizenship Act 1948.

1. Amendment

1.1 The Australian Citizenship Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2. Regulation 9 (Fee on lodgement of application for grant of certificate of Australian citizenship)

2.1 Subregulation 9 (1):

Omit “subregulation (2),”, substitute “subregulations (1a) and (2),”.

2.2 After subregulation 9 (1), insert:

“(1a) The fee payable under subregulation (1) by an age pensioner who produces his or her pensioner health benefits card or social security card at the time of lodgement of the application is $20.”.
