1Name

This instrument is the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Concessional Application Fees) Regulations 2018.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Subsections 17(4) and (5)

Repeal the subsections.

Insert:

22Application of amendments made by the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Concessional Application Fees) Regulations 2018

The amendments made by Schedule 1 to the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Concessional Application Fees) Regulations 2018 apply in relation to an application made on or after 1 July 2018.

Schedule 3 (table items 10 to 13)

Repeal the items.

Schedule 3 (table item 14, column 1)

Omit “items 5 to 13 or items 15 to 18”, substitute “item 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16 or 18”.

Omit “items 5 to 15 or items 17 and”, substitute “item 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 or”.
