1Name

This instrument is the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Concession Codes and Payment of Fees) Regulations 2019.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

In the appropriate position in Part 4

Insert:

23Application of amendment made by Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Concession Codes and Payment of Fees) Regulations 2019

The amendment of Schedule 3 made by item 2 of Schedule 1 to the Australian Citizenship Amendment (Concession Codes and Payment of Fees) Regulations 2019 applies in relation to an application made on or after 2 March 2019.

   Schedule 3 (table item 10, column 1, subparagraph (a)(ii))

Repeal the subparagraph, substitute:

(ii) a pensioner concession card issued by the Human Services Department and endorsed by that Department with one of the following codes: AGE; AGE BLIND; CAR; DSP; DSP BLIND; NS; PPP; PA; SA; SL; WA; WFA; WFD; WID; YAL; and

Subsection 16(7)

Repeal the subsection, substitute:

   In this section:

conversion instrument means the Migration (LIN 19/041: Payment of Visa Application Charges and Fees in Foreign Currencies) Instrument 2019 made for the purposes of paragraph 5.36(1A)(a) of the Migration Regulations 1994 and as in force on 1 July 2019.

places and currencies instrument means the Migration (LIN 19/042: Places and Currencies for Paying of Fees) Instrument 2019 made for the purposes of paragraphs 5.36(1)(a) and (b) of the Migration Regulations 1994 and as in force on 1 July 2019.
