I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management) Act 1988.

The Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management)

Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2. Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

2.1 Insert the following definition:

" 'temporary work' means work that is to be erected for a specific event

and is intended to be removed after the event has been held;".

3. New regulation 4 and Schedule

3.1 Add at the end:

Fees for services provided by the Authority

"4.

(1) The Authority may charge the fee specified in column 3

of an item in the Schedule for the service set out in column 2 of the item.

"(2)

In addition to the fees set out in the Schedule for a service, the

Authority is entitled to be reimbursed for any charges or costs that the Authority pays to, or for the services of, another person in connection with that service.

"(3)

If a fee in respect of works has been paid under item 5 in the

Schedule, the fee payable for subsequent approval of the works under item

1 is the fee ascertained under that item, less the fee paid under item 5.

"(4)

The fee payable by a non-profit making community body for a

service that is connected with a non-profit making activity is 25% of the

amount that would otherwise be payable.".
