Australian Broadcasting Tribunal (Inquiries) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Broadcasting Act 1942.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Australian Broadcasting Tribunal (Inquiries) Regulations.

Disposal of certain matters

2. (1) Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is amended:

(a) by inserting in paragraph (1) (a) “, or proposes (otherwise than on such an application) to exercise,” after “exercise of”;

(b) by inserting in subparagraph (1) (a) (i) “(not being a limited licence)” after “licence”;

(c) by inserting in subparagraph (1) (a) (ii) “a limited licence,” after “than”;

(d) by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) “requested”;

(e) by inserting in paragraph (1) (b) “(if any)” after “application” (first occurring); and

(f) by inserting in paragraph (2) (a) “(if any)” after “applicant”.

(2) Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from subparagraph (1) (a) (ii) “; other than a re-broadcasting licence or a re-transmission licence”.

Public notice of inquiry

3. Regulation 9 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (2) (a) “date referred to in sub-paragraph 82 (1) (b) (i)” and substituting “day referred to in subsection 82 (1a)”.
