" proceedings by and against the proprietors of " a certain Joint Stock Company lately carrying " on business in Sydney in the Colony of New " South Wales under the name style or firm of " the Australian Auction Company and for other " purposes therein mentioned" [31st. August,

1843.]

WH E R E A S by a n A c t passed in the fifth year of t he re ign of H e r Majesty Queen Victor ia in t i tu led " An Act to facilitate

" proceedings by and against the proprietors of a certain Joint Stock " Company lately carrying on business in Sydney in the Colony of " New South Wales under the name style or firm of the Australian " Auction Company and for other purposes therein mentioned " it was amongs t o ther th ings enacted t h a t t he said Ac t should commence a n d t ake effect from a n d after t h e pass ing thereof and should con t inue in force for two years thereafter a n d not longer save and except as to any act ion suit prosecut ion or o ther proceeding a t law or in equi ty ac tual ly commenced or in s t i t u t ed which no twi ths t and ing t h e said Ac t should have expired migh t he carr ied on in all respects whatsoever as if t he same h a d cont inued in force and whereas i t is expedient t h a t

t h e advice and consent of t he Legis la t ive Counci l thereof T h a t t he said A c t shall he ex tended and cont inue in force u n t i l t h e first day of September in t h e year of our L o r d one thousand eight hund red and forty-five. No. II.
