Australian Airlines (Intrastate Services) Act 1990

The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:

1Purposes

The purposes of this Act are—

(a)to enable Australian Airlines Limited and its subsidiaries to operate air services within Victoria; and

(b)to repeal the Air Navigation Act 1958.

2Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

3Adoption of section 54 of the Commonwealth Act

Section 54 of the Australian Airlines (Conversion to Public Company) Act 1988 of the Commonwealth is adopted.

4Repeal of Air Navigation Act 1958

The Air Navigation Act 1958 is repealed.

The long title for the Bill for this Act was "A Bill to enable Australian Airlines Limited to operate air services within Victoria, to repeal the Air Navigation Act 1958 and for other purposes.".

The Australian Airlines (Intrastate Services) Act 1990 was assented to on 22 May 1990 and came into operation on 22 May 1990.
