Part 1—Preliminary

1  Name of rule

This rule is the Australia Council Rule 2013.

2  Commencement

Each provision of this rule specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

The later of:

(a) the day after this rule is registered; and

(b) the day on which section 48 of the Australia Council Act 2013 commences.

However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur.

3  Authority

This rule is made under the Australia Council Act 2013.

4  Definitions

In this rule:

Act means the Australia Council Act 2013.

Part 2—Finance

5  Restrictions on financial transactions

The amount of $1 000 000 is prescribed for paragraphs 48(1)(a), (b) and (c) of the Act.
