Audit Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Audit Act 1901.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1982.

Schedule 1

2. (1) Part I of Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following item:

“3  National Exhibition Centre 2 IV —” Trust

(2) Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following Part:

“PART IV

MODIFICATIONS OF DIVISION 2 OF PART XI OF THE AUDIT ACT 1901-NATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRE TRUST

1. Omit from sub-section 63d (3), paragraph 63e (1) (c) and sub-section 63e (2) ‘approved by’ and, in each case, substitute ‘approved, in relation to the authority, by’.

2. Add at the end of sub-section 63h (1) ‘in relation to the authority’.

3. Insert after sub-section 63h (1) the following sub-section:

‘(1a) The report referred to in sub-section (1) shall include details of any approval or direction given, under the National Exhibition Centre Trust Ordinance 1976 of the Australian Capital Territory, by the appropriate Minister to the authority during the year to which the report relates.’.

4. Insert ‘and the Australian Capital Territory House of Assembly’ after ‘Parliament’ in sub-section 63h (3).”.

Schedule 2

3. Schedule 2 to the Audit Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting—

“Canberra Showground Trust”;

and

(b) by inserting—

“National Exhibition Centre Trust”

after—

“National Capital Development Commission”.
