Audit Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Audit Act 1901.

Schedule 1—Part I

1. Part I of Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations is amended by omitting items 1a and 1 and substituting the following items:

“1aa A.C.T. Institute of Technical and Further Education	3	1aaa
1a Australian Capital Territory Gaming and Liquor Authority	2	1aa
1 Australian Capital Territory Health Authority	3	1a”.

Schedule 1—Part Iaaa

2. Schedule I to the Audit Regulations is amended by inserting after Part I the following Part:

“PART Iaaa

MODIFICATIONS OF DIVISION 3—A.C.T. INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL AND FURTHER EDUCATION

1. Add at the end of section 63k the following subsection:

‘(2) In this section:

(a) a reference to moneys includes a reference to trust money;

(b) a reference to transactions and affairs includes a reference to transactions and affairs relating to trust money or trust property; and

(c) a reference to assets includes a reference to trust property.’,

2. Add at the end of section 63l the following subsection:

‘(8) In this section:

(a) a reference to moneys includes a reference to trust money;

(b) a reference to transactions includes a reference to transactions relating to trust money or trust property; and

(c) a reference to assets includes a reference to trust property.’.

3. Omit from subsection 63m (1) ‘30 June’, substitute ‘31 December’.

4. Insert after subsection 63m (1) the following subsection:

“(1a) The report shall set out any direction given, under subsection 6 (3) of the A.C.T. Institute of Technical and Further Education Ordinance 1987 of the Australian Capital Territory, by the appropriate Minister to the authority during the year to which the report relates.’.”.

Schedule 1—Part Iaa

3. Part 1aa of Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from the heading “Part 1aa” and substituting “Part Iaa”;

(b) by omitting clause 5 and substituting the following clause:

“5. Omit from subsection 63h (1) ‘The authority shall’, substitute ‘Subject to subsection (4), the authority shall’.”; and

(c) by omitting clause 7 and substituting the following clause:

“7. Add at the end of section 63h the following subsection:

‘(4) The first report of its operations by the authority shall relate to the period commencing on 30 June 1987 and expiring at the end of 30 June 1988.’.”.

Schedule 1—Further amendments

4. Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations is amended as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

SCHEDULE Regulation 4

FURTHER AMENDMENTS

The following provisions of Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations are omitted:

Clause 2 in Part la, clause 2 in Part II, clause 1 in Part III, clause 2 in Part IV, Part Va, clause 2 in Part VI, clause 2 in Part VIII, clause 2 in Part XI, clause 2 in Part X, Part XI.
