Audit Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Audit Act 1901.

Schedule 1

Schedule 1 to the Audit Regulations is amended:

(a) by inserting after Item 1AA in Part 1 the following item:

“1ab Australian Capital Territory Electricity  2 1aab”;

and Water Authority

(b) by omitting clause 4 of Part 1aaa and substituting the following clause:

“4. Insert after subsection 63m (1) the following subsection:

‘(1a) The report shall:

(a) set out any direction given, under subsection 6 (3) of the A.C.T. Institute of Technical and Further Education Ordinance 1987 of the Australian Capital Territory, by the appropriate Minister to the authority during the year to which the report relates; and

(b) specify the number of approvals (if any) given by the appropriate Minister under each of subsections 8 (1), 9 (1) and 10 (1) of that Ordinance in respect of which the appropriate Minister has not caused a copy of a statement to be laid before each House of Parliament.”;

(c) by inserting after Part 1aaa the following Part:

MODIFICATIONS OF DIVISION 2—AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY ELECTRICITY AND WATER AUTHORITY

1. Insert after subsection 63h (1) the following subsection:

“(1a) The report shall set out any direction given under section 36 or 41 of the Electricity and Water Ordinance 1988 of the Australian Capital Territory, by the appropriate Minister to the authority during the year to which the report relates.”.
