349 ANNO SEXTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNIDAE REGINAE No. 38 of 1967 An Act to Amend "The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1966," .n a certain particular [ASSENTED TO 14TH DECEMBER, 1967] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majest" by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled , and by the authority of the same, as follows:-- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as "The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1967," and shall be read as one with " The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1966," herein referred to as the Principal Act. (2) Collective title . The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as "The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1967." 2. Commencement of Act. This Act shall be do ied to '• ve come into force on and from the third day of July, one thousand n;r'e hundred and sixty-seven, and shall operate retrospectively accordingly. 3. Repeal of and new s. 2 of 17 Geo. V. No. 5. " The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1926 " is amended by repealing section two and inserting in its stead the following section:- " [2.] Salary of Auditor- General . (1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section the salary of the Auditor-General shall be at the rate of twelve thousand two hundred and forty dollars per annum.
350 Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1967, No. 38 (2) The rate for the time being of the salary of the Auditor-General shall, as on and from the first day of July of each and every year, commencing with the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, be increased or, as the case may be, decreased by the amount calculated on an annual basis to the nearest dollar by which the basic wage for males declared by the Full Bench of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Commission under " The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Acts, 1961 to 1964," shall have been increased or decreased during the period prescribed in relation to the first day of July in question. Such period shall be- (a) in relation to the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, the period commenced on and including the fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixty- seven, and ended on and including the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight; and (b) in relation to the first day of July of the year one thousand nine hundred and sixty- nine, and of each year thereafter the preceding period of twelve months. (3) The amount of the salary payable for the time being to the Auditor-General shall be a charge upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the State which is hereby appropriated accordingly."
