172 kvluettsIttztb ANNO QUINTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 26 of 1966 An Act to Amend "The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1965," in a certain particular [ ASSENTED TO 15TH DECEMBER, 1966] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (1) Short title. This Act may be cited as " The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1966 " and shall be read as one with " The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1965 " herein referred to as the Principal Act. (2) Collective title. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1966." 2. Commencement of Act. This Act shall be deemed to have cone into force on and from the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-six and shall operate retrospectively accordingly.
Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1966, No. 26 173 3. Repeal of and new s. 2 of 17 Geo. V. No. 5. " The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1926 " is amended by repealing section two and inserting in its stead the following section:- " [2.] Salary of Auditor - General . (1) -Subject to subsection (2) of this section the salary of the Auditor-General shall be at the rate of Eleven thousand sever-, hundred and fifty-six dollars per annum. (2) The rate for the time being of the salary of the Auditor-General shall, as on and from the first day of July of each and every year, commencing with the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-six, be increased or, as the case may be, decreased by the amount calculated on an annual basis to the nearest dollar by which the basic wage for males declared by the Full Bench of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Commission under " The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Acts, 1961 to 1964 ", shall have been increased or decreased during the preceding period of twelve months. (3) The amount of the salary payable for the time being to the Auditor-General shall be a charge upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the State which is hereby appropriated accordingly."
