191 d^ueettsland ANNO QUARTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 16 of 1965 An Act to Amend "The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1963," in a certain particular [ASSENTED TO 22ND APRIL, 1965] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as "The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1965 " and shall be read as one with " ?lee Audit Acts, 1874 to 1963," herein referred to as the Principal Act. (2) Collective title. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1965." 2. Commencement of Act. This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the twentieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four and shall operate retrospectively accordingly.

192 Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1965, No. 16 3. Amendment of s. 2 of 17 Geo . V No. 5 . Section two of " The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1926," is amended by- (a) in subsection ( 1) omitting the words " four thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds per annum " and inserting in their stead the words " five thousand two hundred and fifty pounds per annum "; (b) in subsection (2)- (i) omitting the words " one thousand nine hundred and sixty-three " and inserting in their stead the words " one thousand nine hundred and sixty-five "; (ii) omitting the second paragraph and inserting in its stead the following paragraph- " Such rate shall as on and from the twentieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four be increased by the amount by which the salary payable to the Auditor-General immediately prior to that date had been increased pursuant to the provisions of this subsection as in force prior to the passing of " The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1965." "
