[ASSENTED TO 11 TH OCTOBER, 1926.] THE AUDIT AOTSAMEND- MENTAOT ] -) E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, OF 1926. ) by and with the advice and consent of the Leg1s- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. This Act may be cited as "The Audit Acts Short title. Amendment Act 0/ 1926," and shall be read as one with "The Audit Acts, 1874 to 1906,"* herein collectively referred to as the Principal Act. 2. The Auditor-General during his continuance in Sala~ y of office shall receive a clear annual salary of one ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ t thou::-;ann five hundred pounds instead of one thousand pounds as heretofore, ann such salary shall be charged upon and paid out of the Consolidated Revenue. 11544 AUDIT. Audit Acts Amendment Act. 17 GEO. V. No. 5, 1926. section applies to the Auditor-General in office at the date of thp passing of this Act and to every Auditor- General hereafter to be appointed. Retirement 3. Notwithstanding anything contained in the GofeAneurdailt. or- Principal Act, every Auditor-General on attaining the age of sixty-five years shall retire from office on the day on which he attains such age, and thereupon in every such case thp office of Auditor-General shall by virtue of this Act become vacant. This section applies to the Auditor- General in office at the date of the passing of this Act and to every Auditor-General hereafter to be appointed. Statute law 4. "The Auditor-General' 8 Pension Act of 1877"* revision. and "The Auditor-General (Salary) Act of 1884"t and sections four and five of "The Audit Act Amendment Act at 1895 "t are repealed.
