223 Que 22tsfarth ANNO SEPTIMO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 25 of 1968 An Act to Amend The Audit Acts 1874 to 1968 in a certain particular [ASSENTED TO 13TH SEPTEMBER, 1968] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same , as follows:- 1. (1) Short title. This Act may be cited as the Audit Acts Amendment Act 1968 (No. 2) and shall be read as one with The Audit Acts 1874 to 1968, herein referred to as the Principal Act. (2) Collective title. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as the Audit Act 1874-1968.

224 Audit Acts Amendment Act 1968 (No. 2), No. .z:) 2. Commencement of Act. This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, and shall operate retrospectively accordingly. 3. Amendments of s. 2 of 17 Geo. V No. 5. Section two of The Audit Acts Amendment Act of 1926 is amended by- (a) in subsection (1) omitting the words " twelve thousand two hundred and forty dollars " and inserting in their stead the words thirteen thousand two hundred dollars "; and (b) in subsection (2)- (i) omitting the words " sixty-eight " where first appearing and inserting in their stead the words " sixty-nine "; (ii) omitting the words " period prescribed in relation to the first day of July in question " and inserting in.their stead the words " preceding period of twelve months "; and (iii) omitting the second paragraph (being the paragraph commencing with the words " Such period shall be ").
