281 ANNO NONODECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 21 of 1970 An Act to Amend the Audit Acts Amendment Act 1926-1969 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 2ND NOVEMBER, 1970] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Audit Act Amendment Act 1970. (2) The Audit Acts Amendment Act 1926 -1969 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Audit Acts Amendment Act 1926-1970. 2. Commencement of Act. This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation o a and from the first day of January, 1970 and shall operate retrospectively accordingly.

282 Audit Act Amendment Act 1970, No. 21 3. Amendment of s. 2 . Section 2 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (1) and inserting in its stead the following subsection:- " (1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section the salary of the Auditor-General- (a) for the period from and including the first day of January, 1970 to and including the third day of May, 1970 shall be at the rate of $15,569.00 per annum; (b) from and including the fourth day of May, 1970 shall be at the rate of $16,893.00 per annum."
