No. 24 of 1927.

AN ACT to amend the Audit Act, 1904.

[Assented to 16th December, 1927.]

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority

of the same, as follows :-

1. This Act may be cited as the Audit Act Amendment short

Act, 1927, and shall be read as one with the Audit Act,

1904, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. (1) Section six of the principal Act is herebye Amendment of

amended—

see. U.

(a) by substituting the words " one thousand pounds" for the words " eight hundred pounds " in line two thereof ; and

(b) by adding thereto a subsection as follows :-

(2) The Auditor General shall retire from office on attaining the age of sixty-five years, provided that this subsection shall not apply to the present occupant of the office.

The amendment made by paragraph (a) of this section

shall have effect as from the 1st day of July, 1927.

3. The following words are inserted after the word An,0„,1„,0„, 0,

" shall" in the first line of section nine of the principal Act, "°.°.

namely—" subject to subsection two of section six."
