B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. (l.) This Act may be cited as " The Auctioneers Short title and Oommission Agents Acts Amendment A'ct of 1946," :!truction. and shall be read as one with *" The Auctioneers and Oommission Agents Acts, 1922 to 1940," herein referred to as the Principal Act. (2.) The Principal Act and this Act may collectively Coll~ tiv& be cited as "The Auctioneers and Oommission Agents title. Acts, 1922 to' 1946." A mendment of the Principal Act. 2. A new section, 150, is inserted after section 15B New s. 150. of the Principal Act, as follows:- "[150.] (1.) Where the Governor in Council is Power to satisfied that in any State of the Commonwealth of ~ ~ ee " Australia (other than Queensland) an Act is in force li~ ~ n: rs under which any person resident in Queensland and to : Pder~ ~ . holding an auctioneer's license (being a general license) = ~ p: ca~ ing may obtain a license to follow the occupation of an States. auctioneer in all parts of such other State, the Governor in Council may, by notification published in the Gazette, declare that on and after a date to be specified in the notification, and while the notification remains in force, this Act shall extend and apply to the granting in Queensland of auctioneers' licenses (being general licenses) to residents in such other State. (2.) The Governor in Council may, if he thinks fit~ revoke any such notification. (3,) (a) In the case of a resident in any State of the Commonwealth of Australia with respect to which a notification under this section is in force an auctioneer's * 13 G. 5 No. 27 and a.mending Acts, v. 1, p. 431 et Beg.

No. 18, license (being a general license) shall be granted to such resident only if he holds a license to follow the occupation of an auctioneer in all parts of that State. (b) An auctioneer's license (being a district license) shall not in any case be granted to any person resident in any State of the Commonwealth of Australia other than Queensland. (4.)
