This regulation may be cited as the Auctioneers and Agents (Exemptions) Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 1998 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the AuctioneersandAgents(Exemptions)Regulation 1995 . ˙ Insertion of new ss 5A–5F 3. After section 5— insert — ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining corporation licence—Sotheby’s Australia Pty Ltd and Sotheby’s International Realty Pty Ltd ‘ 5A.(1) Sotheby’s Australia Pty Ltd ACN 004 742 509 and Sotheby’s International Realty Pty Ltd ACN 053 762 191 are exempted from the part of section 19(3)(b) of the Act that allows the grant, renewal or restoration of a corporation licence only if a director of the corporation is resident in this State. ‘ (2) The exemption only applies for the business of an auctioneer. ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining corporation licence—Pickles Auctions Pty Ltd ‘ 5B.(1) Pickles Auctions Pty Ltd ACN 003 417 650 is exempted from the part of section 19(3)(b) of the Actthat allows the grant, renewal or restoration of a corporation licence only if a director of the corporation is resident in this State. ‘ (2) The exemption only applies for the business of an auctioneer.

s3 3 s3 Auctioneers and Agents (Exemptions) Amendment (No. 4) No. 315, 1998 ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining corporation licence—Shannons Corporation Pty Ltd ‘ 5C.(1) Shannons Corporation Pty Ltd ACN 005 796 387 is exempted from the part of section 19(3)(b) of the Act that allows the grant, renewal or restoration of a corporation licence only if a director of the corporation is resident in this State. ‘ (2) The exemption only applies for the business of an auctioneer. ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining corporation licence—Logan City Council ‘ 5D.(1) Logan City Council is exempted from sections 19(3)(a), (b) and (c) and 125 of the Act. ‘ (2) The exemption applies only for the business of Logan City Council, on its own behalf, acquiring used motor vehicles from the landfill recycling centre at 349 Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains and— (a) breaking them up for sale, in pieces; or (b) selling them in pieces. ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining motor dealers’ licence—person who is, or will be, the person in charge of the Browns Plains recycling centre ‘ 5E.(1) This section applies to a person who is applying for, or for the renewal or restoration of, a motor dealers’ licence for the purpose of becoming, or continuing to be, the person in charge of the landfill recycling centre at 349 Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains for section 19(3)(d)(i) of the Act. ‘ (2) The person is exempted from section 57(1)(d) and (2)(b) of the Act. ‘ (3) The exemption only applies for the business mentioned in section 5D(2). ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining general auctioneers’ licence—Bruno Michael Watt ‘ 5F.(1) Bruno Michael Watt of unit 401, 57A Newstead Terrace,

s4 4 Auctioneers and Agents (Exemptions) Amendment (No. 4) Newstead is exempted from section 39(1)(b) of the Act. ‘ (2) This section expires on 6 December 1998.’. s5 No. 315, 1998 ˙ Insertion of new s 8A 4. After section 8— insert— ˙ ‘ Exemption for making claim against the fund—Lesley Morva Price 8A.(1) Lesley Morva Price of PO Box 963, Southport is exempted from section 119(5) of the Act. ‘ (2) This section only applies for making a claim for $480 against the fund in relation to rent that Ms Price asserts belongs to her and was received by Southgate Pty Ltd ACN 063287712 trading as Southgate Realty in 1995. ‘ (3) This section expires on 31 March 1999.’. ˙ Insertion of new s 10 5. After section 9— insert— ˙ ‘ Exemption for obtaining real estate agents’ licence—Renee Pearton ‘ 10.(1) Renee Pearton of level 4, 20 Orchid Avenue, Surfers Paradise is exempted from section 45(1)(b) of the Act. ‘ (2) This section expires on 22 December 1998.’.
