I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Auctioneers and Agents (Amendment) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 May 1993 as the day on which Schedule 2 (other than Schedule 2 (6) (b)) and Schedule 3 (10) of that Act and section 3 in its application to those items commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Proclamation commences the provisions of the Auctioneers and Agents

(Amendment) Act 1992 that:

• create new classes of licences and registrations under the Auctioneers and

Agents Act 1941

• change the name of that Act to the Property, Stock and Business Agents

Act 1941

• empower licensees under that Act to share commission with persons

licensed under a corresponding Act of a State or Territory.
