444 ANNO VICESIMO SEXTO ELIZA B ET HAE SECUNDAE R EG I NA E No0 46 of 1977 An Act to a end the Auctioneers and AgentsAct 1971-1975 in certain particulars and for another purpose [ASSENTED TO 3RD OCTOBER, 1977] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Auctioneers and Agents Act Amendment Act 1977. (2) The Auctioneers and Agents Act1971-1975 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may he cited as the Auctioneers and Agents Act1971-1977.
Auctioneers and Agents Act Amendment Act 1977, No. 46 445 2. Amendment of s. 14 . Section 14 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (4)- (i) omitting the words " The Companies Acts 1961 to 1964 " and substituting the words " the Companies Act 1961-1975 "; (ii) omitting the word " and " occurring after the words " in this State " and substituting the words " or is a recognised company within the meaning of the Companies Act 1961-1975 that has complied with the provisions of section 343E of that Act and such corporation "; (b) in subsection (5), omitting the words " The Companies Acts 1961 to 1964 " and substituting the words " the Companies Act 1961-1975". 3. Validity of certain things done. Any thing done prior to the commencement of this Act which purports to have been done under the authority of the Principal Act, notwithstanding any defect in, or the absence of any authority for, the doing thereof or the manner in which such thing was done, and which would be authorized by the Principal Act as amended by this Act had it been done after such commencement, shall be deemed to have been authorized by the Principal Act.
