1993—No. 156
AUCTIONEERS AND AGENTS ACT 1941—REGULATION
(Updating a definition)
NEW SOUTH WALES
[Published in Gazette No. 41 of 30 April 1993]
HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Auctioneers and Agents Act 1941, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.
ROBERT WEBSTER, M.L.C.,
Minister for Housing.
Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 1st May, 1993.
Amendment
2. The Auctioneers and Agents Regulations are amended by omitting
from Regulation 71 (2) (c) the words “, within the meaning of the
Auctioneers and Agents (Remuneration) Regulation 1981”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to update a provision of the Auctioneers and Agents Regulations which currently defines “residential property” as having the same meaning as in the Auctioneers and Agents (Remuneration) Regulation 1981 (which will be repealed on 1 May 1993).
The expression is already defined for other provisions of the Auctioneers and Agents Regulations as having the same meaning as in Division 8 of Part 4 of the Conveyancing Act 1919. That meaning will apply to the provision when it is updated.
