Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Part 1 - Preliminary

1.           Citation

These regulations are the Attorney General Regulations
Amendment (High Risk Serious Offenders) Regulations 2020.

2.           Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows -

(a)

Part 1 - on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations - on the day after that day.

This Part amends the Criminal Procedure Regulations 2005.
4. Regulation 32 amended
In regulation 32:
Note: The heading to amended regulation 32 is to read: Application under High Risk Serious Offenders Act 2020 s. 51
(a) delete "Dangerous Sexual Offenders Act 2006 section 21" and insert:

High Risk Serious Offenders Act 2020 section 51

(b) delete "warrant or a summons." and insert:

warrant.

This Part amends the High Risk Serious Offenders
Regulations 2020.

6.      Regulation 4 inserted

After regulation 3 insert:

Each offence specified in the Table is prescribed for the purposes of section 5(5) to be a serious offence.
