ASSOCIATIONS INCORPORATION ACT 1984—REGULATION

(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Associations Incorporation Act 1984, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 March 1994.

Amendments

2. The Associations Incorporation Regulation 1985 is amended:

(a)	byomittingfromitems1,2and3ofSchedule4thematter“60” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “75”;
(b)	byomittingfromitem4ofSchedule4thematter“18”andby inserting instead the matter “25”;
(c)	byomittingfromitem5ofSchedule4thematter“25”andby inserting instead the matter “35”;
(d)	byomittingfromitem6ofSchedule4thematter“18”andby inserting instead the matter “25”;
(e)	byomittingfromitem6AofSchedule4thematter“10”andby inserting instead the matter “15”;
(f)	byomittingfromitem7ofSchedule4thematter“20”andby

inserting instead the matter “30”;

(g) byomittingfromitem8ofSchedule4thematter“10”andby inserting instead the matter “15”;

(h) byomittingfromitem9ofSchedule4thematter“5”andby inserting instead the matter “7.50”;

EX PLAN ATO R Y NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to increase fees payable for the following: incorporation of associations. proposed associations, amalgamated incorporated associations or companies or co-operative societies;

reservations or changes of name;
lodging notices setting out particulars of alterations of objectives or rules;
extending periods for convening annual general meetings;
lodging statements concerning annual general meetings;
inspecting, or obtaining copies or extracts of, documents held.’or the
register kept, by the Commissioner for Consumer Affairs under the Act.

This Regulation is made under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984 including sections 9 (Application for incorporation), 13 (Reservation of name), 14 (Change of name), 20 (Alteration of objects and rules). 26 (Annual general meeting), 27 (Lodgment of accounts etc.), 46 (Application for amalgamation), 48 (Application to bring company or co-operative under Act), 59 (Register) and 73 (the general regulation making power).
