Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Assisted Reproductive Technology Regulation 2014 to update references to infection control standards in certain policies and guidelines referred to in that Regulation.

This Regulation is made under the Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2007, including sections 10 and
71 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Assisted Reproductive Technology Amendment (Infection

Control Standards) Regulation 2019.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Assisted Reproductive Technology Regulation 2014

(1) Clause 8 Infection control standards: section 10

Insert “Prevention and” after “Infection” in clause 8(a).

(2) Clause 8(b)
Omit “6.4”. Insert instead “5.2.4”.
