Assembly Members' Remuneration Determination (Basic Salary) Act 2022

An Act to vary a determination of Assembly members' entitlements to basic salary made by the Remuneration Tribunal

1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Assembly Members’ Remuneration Determination (Basic Salary) Act 2022.

2Commencement

This Act commences on the day after the day on which the Administrator’s assent to this Act is declared.

3Basic salary of Assembly Members
  • (1)

    Despite clause 2.1 of the determination, the reference to the amount of basic salary of an Assembly member in the determination is taken to be $162 696 per annum.

  • (2)

    In this section:

    determination means the determination made by the Remuneration Tribunal on 28 October 2022 under section 4A(3)(a) of the Assembly Members and Statutory Officers (Remuneration and Other Entitlements) Act 2006 entitled "Determination of Salaries and Other Entitlements of Assembly Members: Determination No. 1 of 2022".
