s1 2 s5 Art Unions and Public Amusements Amendment No. 278, 1996 (No. 2) ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Art Unions and Public Amusements Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the ArtUnionsandPublicAmusementsRegulation 1992 . ˙ Amendment of s 3 (Definitions) 3. Section 3— insert— ‘ “register” means the Art Unions and Public Amusements Register maintained under section 105 of the Act. 1 ’. ˙ Insertion of new s 31A 4. After section 31— insert— ˙ ‘ Prescribed amount of gross proceeds for certain nonprofit sweeps—Act, s 8 ‘ 31A. For section 8(a)(ii) of the Act, 2 the amount of $2,000 is prescribed for a sweep for which the sporting event is the sporting event known as the Melbourne Cup.’. ˙ Insertion of new s 33 5. Part 4, after section 32— insert— 1 Section 105 (Register to be maintained) 2 Section 8 (Meaning of “nonprofit sweep”)

s6 3 s6 Art Unions and Public Amusements Amendment No. 278, 1996 (No. 2) ˙ ‘ Prescribed particulars for register—Act, s 105 ‘ 33.(1) For section 105 of the Act, 3 the prescribed particulars for an application for an authority are as follows— (a) the applicant’s name and address; (b) the application number; (c) the type of authority. ‘ (2) For section 105 of the Act, the prescribed particulars for an authority are as follows— (a) the name and address of the holder of the authority; (b) the number of the authority; (c) the type of authority; (d) the term of the authority; (e) the date of issue and expiry of the authority; (f) if the authority is cancelled or suspended—the date of cancellation or suspension.’. ˙ Amendment of sch 1 (Fees, costs, charges and taxes) 6. Schedule 1— insert— 3 Section 105 (Register to be maintained)
