AREA HEALTH SERVICES ACT 1986—ORDER

(Relating to the South Western Sydney Area Health Service)

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of sections E! and 21 of the Area Health Services Act 1986, do, by this my Order, with effect on 1 July 1993:

(a)

amend Schedule 3 to the Area Health Services Act 1986 by inserting in the column headed “Description of Area-Local Government Area” opposite South Western Sydney Area Health Service the words “Wingecaribee Shire”; and

(b)

transfer The Bowral and District Hospital, being an incorporated hospital mentioned in the Second Schedule to the Public Hospitals Act 1929, to the South Western Sydney Area Health Service and amend the Second Schedule to the Public Hospitals Act 1929 by omitting the following matter:

The Bowral and District Bowral.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Schedule 3 to the Area Health Services Act 1986 sets out the areas in respect of which each area health service named in that Schedule is constituted. This Order amends that Schedule to add Wingecaribee Shire to the list of areas in respect of which the South Western Sydney Area Health Service is constituted.

The Order also transfers the Bowral and District Hospital (an incorporated hospital mentioned in the Second Schedule to the Public Hospitals Act 1929) to the South Western Sydney Area Health Service and amends the Second Schedule to the Public Hospitals Act 1929 accordingly.
