AREA HEALTH SERVICES ACT 1986-ORDER

NEW SOUTH WALES

By deputation from His Excellency the Governor.

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 8 (1) (a) of the Area Health Services Act 1986, amend Schedule 3 to that Act:

(a) by omitting from the description of area appearing opposite the name “Central Sydney Area Health Service” the matter relating to the Area of Sydney City Council and by inserting instead the following matter:

Cities of Sydney and South Sydney (comprising the western sector of those cities with .boundaries as shown on the map deposited in the principal office of the Department of Health and marked “Area Health Service Boundaries—Cities of Sydney and South Sydney”)

(b)

by omitting from the description of area appearing opposite the name “South Eastern Sydney Area Wealth Service” the matter relating to the Area of Sydney City Council and by inserting

instead the following matter:

Cities of Sydney and South Sydney (comprising the eastern sector of those cities with boundaries as shown on the map deposited in the principal office of the Department of Health and marked “Area Health Service Boundaries—Cities of Sydney and South Sydney”)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Section 8 (1) of the Area Health Services Act 1986 provides that the Governor may, by order, amend the description of an area in respect of which an area health service is constituted as set out in Schedule 3 to that Act.

This Order amends the descriptions of 2 area health services-the Central Sydney

Area Health Service and the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service.
