Archives Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Archives Act 1983.

Charges

1. Regulation 8 of the Archives Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation (1) the following subregulation:

“(1a) The charges set out in Part 1a of Schedule 1 are applicable in respect of the provision of copies of the Australian National Guide to Archival Material or of any part of the Guide.”.

Schedule 1

2. Schedule 1 of the Archives Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from paragraphs (a) and (b) of item 1 of Part 1 “5 pages” and substituting “3 pages”;

(b) by omitting from item 1 of Part 1 “20 cents” and substituting “30 cents”; and

(c) by inserting after Part 1 the following Part:

PART 1a

CHARGES APPLICABLE IN RESPECT OF THE PROVISION OF COPIES OF

THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL GUIDE TO ARCHIVAL

MATERIAL OR OF PART OF THE GUIDE

 

Item No.	Charge	Amount or rate of charge
1	Where a copy of the Guide or of any part of the Guide is to be provided under subsection 66 (6) of the Act in a form other than microfiche:	$1.00 basic charge and 30 cents per page
(a) a basic charge in respect of the provision of not more than 3 pages of copy; and
(b) a charge in respect of providing the number of pages of copy in excess of 3 pages
2	Where a copy of the Guide or of any part of the Guide is to be provided in the form of microfiche	an amount not exceeding the actual cost (including the cost of microfiche provided) incurred by the Archives in providing the copy an amount not exceeding the cost of postage or delivery
3	Where copy referred to in Item 1 or 2 is, at the request of the person requesting the copy, to be sent by post or delivered to an address supplied by that person, a charge in respect of the posting or delivery of the copy
