1  Name

This is the Archives (Discretionary Service Charges) Determination 2014.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under section 69A of the Archives Act 1983.

4  Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Archives Act 1983.

5  Charges for discretionary services

For section 69A of the Act, the amount or rate of charge for a discretionary service provided to a Commonwealth institution mentioned in an item in the following table is the amount or rate of charge set out in that item.

Charges for discretionary services
Item Discretionary service Amount or rate of charge
1 Storage charges for temporary and unevaluated records $21.10 for each metre of shelf space for each year of storage
2 Record management training course—half day $220.00 for each individual who is registered to attend the course
3 Record management training course—full day $405.00 for each individual who is registered to attend the course
4 e‑Learning online modules—Commonwealth institution with 5 000 or more staff requiring access to modules For each module—$1.75 multiplied by the number of staff requiring access to the module as notified to the Archives, capped at a maximum of $35 000.00 for each Commonwealth institution
5 e‑Learning online modules—Commonwealth institution with 101 to 4 999 staff requiring access to modules For each module—$2.63 multiplied by the number of staff requiring access to the module as notified to the Archives
6 e‑Learning online modules—Commonwealth institution with less than 101 staff requiring access to modules For each module—$5.25 multiplied by the number of staff requiring access to the module as notified to the Archives
