Architects (Amendment) Regulations 2007
The Governor in Council approves the making of the following Regulations by the Architects Registration Board of Victoria:

The Architects Registration Board of Victoria makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Architects Regulations 2004 to increase—
(a)registration fees; and
(b)fees for approval of a partnership or a company.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 69 of the Architects Act 1991.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Architects Regulations 2004[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4Amendments to fees
(1)In regulation 41(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "$100" substitute "$110".
(2)In regulation 41(3) of the Principal Regulations, for "$120" substitute "$200".
(3)For regulation 41(4) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(4)For the purpose of section 15(1) of the Act, the prescribed annual fee is—
(a)for a retired architect, $30; and
(b)for a non-practising architect, $40; and
(c)for an approved partnership or approved company, $200; and
(d)for any other architect, $175.".
(4)For regulation 41(5) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(5)For the purpose of section 15(4) of the Act, the additional fee prescribed for late payment is—
(a)for a retired architect, $15; and
(b)for a non-practising architect, $20; and
(c)for any other architect, approved partnership or approved company, $50.".
5Architectural Practice Examinations
For regulation 43 of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"43 Qualifications for registration—standard of professional practice
(1)For the purpose of section 10(b) of the Act, the Board may require a natural person to undertake a written or oral architectural practice examination conducted by the Board to assess the person's standard of professional practice.
(2)The fee for an architectural practice examination conducted under subsection (1) is—
(a)for a written examination, $350; and
(b)for an oral examination, $300.".
6Amendment to examination fees
Regulation 47(3) of the Principal Regulations is revoked.
