This regulation may be cited as the Architects Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1992 . Amended regulation 2. The Architects Regulation 1985 is amended as set out in this regulation.

If— (a) there is a reference in the Architects Regulation 1985 to a provision of the Architects Act 1985 ; and (b) the words ‘ of the Act ’ , or words of similar effect, do not appear at the end of the reference; the Architects Regulation 1985 is amended by inserting the words ‘ of the Act ’ at the end of the reference. Amendment of s.28 (Prescribed qualifications) 4. Section 28(2)— omit, insert — ‘(2) For the purposes of section 25(1)(b)(ii)(B) of the Act, a person is a prescribed relative of an architect if that person is the spouse, child, grandchild, brother, sister, parent or grandparent of the architect. ’. Replacement of Schedule 3 5. Schedule 3— omit, insert — ‘SCHEDULE 3 ‘FEES AND ALLOWANCES section 14 ‘Fees for attendance at meetings of the Board ‘1. Each member of the Board is to be paid the fees determined by the Governor in Council from time to time, for attendance at meetings of the Board.

3 Architects Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1992 No. 49, 1992 ‘Allowances ‘2.(1) If the chairperson or a member of the Board is absent from his or her usual place of employment, in the exercise of powers or functions under the Act, the Board may authorise payment of— (a) reasonable costs of transport approved by the Board; and (b) daily travelling allowances equivalent to those payable under the Public Service Management and Employment Regulation 1988 ; and (c) if the chairperson or member, as the case may be, is not an officer of the public service within the meaning of the PublicServiceManagementandEmploymentAct1988 —$20.00 per hour, with a maximum of $100.00 per day. ‘(2) The allowances prescribed in subsection (1) are not payable for attendance at a meeting of the Board except to a member who— (a) was elected to the Board under section 7(1)(c) of the Act; and (b) lives outside a 250 kilometre radius of Brisbane. ’.
