Architects Amendment Regulation

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Architects Act 2003.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the NSW Architects Code of Professional Conduct contained in the Architects Regulation 2004 by:
| (a) | replacing references to “continuing professional education” with references to “continuing professional development”, and |
| (b) | requiring an architect to include his or her registration number on certain architectural drawings, and |
| (c) | providing that a nominated architect for an architect corporation or architect firm should ensure that he or she is clearly identified on stationery, advertisements and other materials used in connection with the provision of architectural services by the corporation or firm. |
This Regulation is made under the Architects Act 2003, including sections 7 and 84 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Architects Amendment Regulation 2008.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 1 June 2008.
3 Amendment of Architects Regulation 2004
The Architects Regulation 2004 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Insert after clause 21 (1):
(1A) A nominated architect responsible for the provision of architectural services by an architect corporation or an architect firm should ensure that:
(a)
he or she is identified clearly and accurately as the nominated architect for the architect corporation or architect firm on stationery, sign boards and public notices, and in publications, used or placed by the architect
