AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Architects Ordinance 1959-1973, as

amended by the Architects Ordinance 1974.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under

the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1973.

ARCHITECTS ORDINANCE (No. 2) 1974

1. (1 ) This Ordinance may be cited as the Architects Ordinance

(No. 2) 197A.*

(2) The Architects Ordinance 1959-1973f, as amended by the

Architects Ordinance 1974,$ is in this Ordinance referred to as the

Principal Ordinance.

(3 ) Section 1 of the Architects Ordinance 1974 is amended by

omitting sub-section ( 3 ) .

(4) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Architects Ordinance 1959-1974.

2 . Section 3 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed.

3. Section 4 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by inserting

after the definition of " registered architect " the following definition:—

" ' Registrar ' means the person holding office under section

13A;".

4. The following section is inserted in Part III of the Principal

Ordinance before section 14 :—

" 1 3 A . (1) There shall be a Registrar of Architects.

" (2) The Minister shall appoint an officer of the Department of

the Capital Territory to be the Registrar.".

5. Section 30 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by adding at

the end thereof the following sub-section:—

" (2) Sub-section (1) shall be deemed to have come into operation on the date of commencement of the Architects Ordinance (No. 2) 1974.".
