AN ACT to amend the Architects Act, 1921.

[Assented to 22nd December, 1923.]

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows :-

1.    This Act may be cited as the Architects Act Amend- Short title.

ment Act, 1923, and shall be read as one with the Architects

Act, 1921, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Section 14 of the principal Act is amended by in-

serting after the word " Board," in the last line of para-

graph (d) thereof, the following words :-

" or having completed his articles or indentures holds a certificate in writing by the practising architect to whom the applicant was articled or indentured proving the completion of such articles or indentures?'

Notwithstanding anything in the principal Act to the contrary, any person to whom paragraph (b) of sub- Section L3 (2) (b).

section (2) of Section 13 of the principal Act applied may, at any time within six months after the commencement of this Act (notwithstanding that he may have applied for registration to the provisional board, and his application may have been refused), apply to the Board for registration on the qualification in the said paragraph (b) stated, and on proof to the satisfaction of the Board of such qualifi- cation, the Board may register such person as an architect, and Section 16 of this Act shall apply.
