Name of Principles
These Principles are the Approval of Care Recipients Amendment Principles 2005 (No. 2).
Commencement
These Principles commence on the day after they are registered.
Amendment of Approval of Care Recipients Principles 1997
Schedule 1 amends the Approval of Care Recipients Principles 1997.

5.7AA Flexible care — extended aged care at home — dementia
(1) A person is eligible to receive flexible care in the form of extended aged care at home — dementia, only if the person:
(a) is assessed as having behavioural dysfunction associated with dementia; and
(b) has complex care needs because of behavioural dysfunction associated with dementia; and
(c) is assessed under section 22-4 of the Act as requiring a high level of residential care; and
(d) prefers to receive extended aged care at home — dementia; and
(e) is able to live at home with the support of extended aged care at home — dementia.
(2) In this section:
complex care needs has the meaning given by subsection 5.6 (2) of these Principles.
extended aged care at home — dementia has the meaning given by section 15.8 of the Flexible Care Subsidy Principles 1997.
