THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA.

APPROPRIATION (WORKS AND BUILDINGS). 1947–48.

No. 51 of 1947.

An Act to grant and apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund a sum for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, for the purposes of Additions, New Works, Buildings, &c., and to appropriate that sum.

[Assented to 28th October, 1947.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows :—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Works and Buildings) Act 1947–48.

Commencement.

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

Issue and application of £29,967,000.

3. The Treasurer may issue out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and apply towards making good the supply hereby granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty-eight the sum of Twenty-nine million nine hundred and sixty-seven thousand pounds.

Appropriation.

4. The sum granted by this Act is appropriated for the purposes and services expressed in the Schedule to this Act in relation to the financial year ending the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
