Queensland Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2012 Act No. 26 of 2012 An Act authorising the Treasurer to pay amounts from the consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the financial years starting 1 July 2010, 1 July 2011, 1 July 2012 and 1 July 2013 [Assented to 8 November 2012]

Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2012 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts— 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2012 . Note — Under the Financial Accountability Act 2009 , section 5, words used in this Act that are defined in the Financial Accountability Act 2009 have the same meaning the words have in that Act, subject to a contrary intention in this Act. 2 Appropriation for 2012–2013 (1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $80 534 000 from the consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 2012. (2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1)— (a) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service to be applied to its departmental services, administered items and equity adjustment as stated in schedule 1; and (b) includes amounts for departmental services, administered items and equity adjustment delivered by the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service in the financial year starting 1 July 2011 but for which it has not been paid in that financial year. (3) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) includes the amount already authorised by the Appropriation(Parliament)Act2011 , section 3, to be paid for the financial year starting 1 July 2012. Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2012 [s 3] 3 Supply for 2013–2014 The Treasurer is authorised to pay $40 300 000 from the consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 2013. 4 Supplementary appropriation for 2010–2011 based on unforeseen expenditure included in the consolidated fund financial report (1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $530 000 from the consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 2010. (2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service to be applied to its departmental services, administered items and equity adjustment as stated in schedule 2. 5 Supplementary appropriation for 2011–2012 based on unforeseen expenditure included in the consolidated fund financial report (1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $3 250 000 from the consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 2011. (2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service to be applied to its departmental services, administered items and equity adjustment as stated in schedule 3. 6 Repeal The Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2009, No. 27 is repealed. 2012 Act No. 26 Page 5
