Editorial changes
The Legislation (Republication) Act 1996, part 3, division 2 authorised the Parliamentary Counsel to make editorial amendments and other changes of a formal nature when preparing a law for republication. Editorial changes do not change the effect of the law, but have effect as if they had been made by an Act commencing on the republication date (see Legislation (Republication) Act 1996, s 14 and s 16). The changes are made if the Parliamentary Counsel considers they are desirable to bring the law into line, or more closely into line, with current legislative drafting practice.

An Act to retrospectively appropriate money for the purposes of the redevelopment of the Bruce Stadium and for the purposes of CanDeliver Limited
Name of Act
This Act is the Appropriation (Bruce Stadium and CanDeliver Limited) Act 1999.
Commencement
Section 1 and this section commence on the day this Act is notified in the Gazette.
Section 3 is taken to have commenced on 1 July 1997.
Sections 4 and 5 are taken to have commenced on 1 July 1998.
Appropriation for purposes of Bruce Stadium redevelopment 1997‑98
The amount of $9,714,700 is appropriated for the financial year commencing on 1 July 1997 for the purposes of the redevelopment of Bruce Stadium.
The appropriation made by this section is in addition to any other appropriation of public money of the Territory for that financial year for those purposes.
Appropriation for purposes of Bruce Stadium redevelopment 1998-99
The amount of $14,318,202.81 is appropriated for the financial year commencing on 1 July 1998 for the purposes of the redevelopment of Bruce Stadium.
The appropriation made by this section is in addition to any other appropriation of public money of the Territory for that financial year for those purposes.
Appropriation for purposes of CanDeliver Limited 1998-99
The amount of $850,000 is appropriated for the financial year commencing on 1 July 1998 for the purposes of CanDeliver Limited.
The appropriation made by this section is in addition to any other appropriation of public money of the Territory for that financial year for those purposes.
