Appropriation (Amendment) Act 1991

An Act to amend the Appropriation Act 1991-92

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Amendment) Act 1991.

Commencement

2.  This Act shall be taken to have commenced on the commencement of the Appropriation Act 1991-92.

Insertion

3. After section 9 of the Appropriation Act 1991-921 the following section is inserted:

Totalcare Industries—corporatisation

“10.  (1)  A reference—

(a)in item 02 of subdivision 1 of DIVISION 260; and

(b)in item 02 of subdivision 1 of DIVISION 270;

in Part II of the Schedule to ‘Totalcare Industries Trust Account’ shall, on and after 1 January 1992, be read as a reference to ‘Totalcare Industries Limited’.

“(2) Subsection (1) has no effect unless, before 1 January 1992, the Treasurer gives a direction under subsection 85 (4) of the Audit Act 1989 that the Totalcare Industries Trust Account be closed.”.
