WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore
228 Appropriation Act No. 2 of 1967, No. 35 enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Appropriation . [ Schedules A, B, C, D and E.] In addition to the several sums specified in the Schedules to this Act marked respectively A, B, C, D and E, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in these Schedules respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of One hundred and eighteen million dollars and One hundred and eighty million dollars already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight, by " The Appropriation Act of 1966-1967, No. 2," and " The Appropriation Act of 1967-1968, No. I,- respectively, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Two hundred and seventy-eight million nine hundred and twenty-nine thousand eight hundred and thirteen dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Three hundred and eighty-one million seven hundred and sixty-two thousand three hundred and seventy-five dollars; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Eighty-four million nine hundred and sixty thousand dollars. 2. Appropriation . There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-nine, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Fifty-five million dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Fifty-six million dollars; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Fourteen million dollars. 3. Appropriation of sums voted for Supply services . [ Schedules F, G and H .] The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by " The Appropriation Act of 1966-1967, No. 2," and " The Appropriation Act of 1967-1968, No. 1," and which are set forth in the Schedules marked respectively F, G and H to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of Seven hundred and forty-five million six hundred and fifty-two thousand one hundred and eighty-eight dollars, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One 'thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Schedules F, G and H, respectively.
Appropriation Act No. 2 of 1967, No. 35 229 4. Supplementary appropriation , 1966-1967 . [Schedules I, J and K.] There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Eight million three hundred and twenty-seven thousand four hundred and sixty-four dollars; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Five million three hundred and twenty thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight dollars eighty-two cents; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Four million four hundred and ninety-six thousand five hundred and nineteen dollars thirty- one cents, to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-six, for the purposes and services expressed in the Schedules marked I, J and K to this Act. 5. Treasurer to pay moneys as directed by warrant . The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. Treasurer to be allowed credit for sums paid in pursuance of warrant. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. Indemnity. [Schedules I, J and K.] The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Eight million three hundred and twenty-seven thousand four hundred and sixty-four dollars, Five million three hundred and twenty thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight dollars eighty-two cents, and Four million four hundred and ninety-six thousand five hundred and nineteen dollars thirty-one cents which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in Schedules marked I, J and K to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Appropriation Act of 1967-1968, No. 2."
