36 ( ueensfultik ANNO DUODECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGIIN AE No. 13 of 1963 An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust and Special Funds to the Service of the Years ending on the last days of June , 1964 and 1965, and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June , 1963 , and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament [ASSENTED TO 20TH NOVEMBER, 1963] Most Gracious Sovereign; Preamble . WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore
Appropriation Act No. 2 of 1963, No. 13 37 enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Appropriation . [ Schedule , Parts A , B, C, D, and E.] In addition to the several sums specified in the Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-four the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Forty-four million pounds and Sixty-five million pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-four, by "The Appropriation Act of1962-1963,No. 2," and "The Appropriation Act of1963-1964,No.1," respectively, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of One hundred and two million one hundred and seventy thousand seven hundred and sixty-seven pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of One hundred and twenty-four million seven hundred and sixty-four thousand four hundred pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Thirty-four million six hundred and fifty thousand pounds. 2. Appropriation . There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-five, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Twenty-one million pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Twenty-five million pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Five million pounds. 3. Appropriation of sums voted for Supply services. [Schedule, Parts F, G, and H .] The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by "The Appropriation Act of1962-1963,No.2," and "The AppropriationAct of1963-1964,No.1," and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G, and H of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of Two hundred and sixty-one million five hundred and eighty-five thousand one hundred and sixty-seven pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-three, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts, F, G, and H respectively.
38 Appropriation Act No. 2 of 1963, No. 13 4. Supplementary appropriation , 1962 -1963 . [Schedule, Parts I, J, and K .] There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following , that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Four million three hundred and forty-six thousand seven hundred and eleven pounds twelve shillings and three pence; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Two million seven hundred and eighty-five thousand two hundred and forty-five pounds ten shillings and one penny; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Three million six hundred and eighty-one thousand one hundred and fifty two pounds seven shillings and ten pence; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-three, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act. 5. Treasurer to pay moneys as directed by warrant . ' The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out. of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. Treasurer to be allowed credit for sums paid iz pursuance of warrant. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to L°_nie be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. Indemnity . [ Schedule , Parts I, J, and K.] The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Four million three hundred and forty-six thousand seven hundred and eleven pounds twelve shillings and three pence, Two million seven hundred and eighty-five thousand two hundred and forty-five pounds ten shillings and one penny, and Three million six hundred and eighty-one thousand one hundred and fifty-two pounds seven shillings and ten pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in Parts marked I, J, K of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. Short title . This Act may be cited as "The Appropriation Act of 1963-1964, No. 2."
