WE, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore
120 Appropriation Act No. 2 of 1962, No. 19 enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Appropriation. [Schedule, Parts A, B, C, D, and E.] In addition to the several sums specified in the Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied. towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-three the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Thirty-seven million pounds and Fifty-eight million pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-three, by "The Appropriation Act of 1961-1962, No. 2," and "The Appropriation Act of 1962-1963, No. l," respectively, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Ninety-nine million two hundred and thirty-two thousand four hundred and forty-six pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of One hundred and eighteen million seven hundred and eighty-one thousand six hundred and thirty-six pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Thirty-two million nine hundred and fifty-six thousand pounds. 2. Appropriation. There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-four, the sums following, that is to say.- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Twenty million pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Twenty million pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Four million pounds. 3. Appropriation of sums voted for Supply senices. [Schedule. Parts F, G, and H.] The sums granted by the first section of this Act and by ..The Appropriation Act of 1961-1962, No. 2," and "The AppropriationAct of1962-1963,No.1," and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G, and Hof the Schedule to this Act, amounting as appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of Two hundred and fifty million nine hundred and seventy thousand and eighty-two pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts, F, G, and H respectively.
Appropriation Act No. 2 of 1962, No. 19 4. Supplementary appropriation, 1961-1962. [Schedule, Parts I, J, and K.j There shall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Six million one hundred and eighty-six thousand six hundred and sixty-five pounds fifteen shillings and one penny; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Three million one hundred and two thousand one hundred and ninety pounds thirteen shillings and ten pence; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of Two million nine hundred and ten thousand one hundred and ninety-seven pounds eleven shillings and seven pence; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-one, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act. S. Treasurer to pay moneys as directed by warrant. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. Treasurer to be allowed credit for sums paid in pursuance of warrant. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. Indemnity. [Schedule, Parts I, J, and K.J The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Six million one hundred and eighty- six thousand six hundred and sixty-five pounds fifteen shillings and one penny, Three million one hundred and two thousand one hundred and ninety pounds thirteen shillings and ten pence, and Two million nine hundred and ten thousand one hundred and ninety-seven pounds eleven shillings and seven pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. Short title. This Act may be cited as "The Appropriation Act of 1962-1963, No. 2." 121
