An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust and Special Funds to the Service of the Years ending on the last days of June, 1962 and 1963. and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June, 1961, and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament. [ASSENTED TO 30TH NOVEMBER, 1961.] Most Gracious Sovereign,- w E, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, Preamble. the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinaJter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice

In addition to the several sums specified in the !~ 0 c~edule Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the Psrts A, B, Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under c, D, arrtl E.J the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Thirty-five million pounds and Fifty-six million pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, by " '1.'he Appropriation Act of 1960-1961, No. 2," and "The Appropriation Act of 1961-1962, No. l," respectively, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Ninety-five million three hundred and seventy-seven thousand five hundred and forty-eight pounds ; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Eighty-seven million four hundred and eighteen thousand one hundred and twenty- nine pounds ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Thirty million seven hundred and seventy-five thousand two hundred and fifty pounds. Appropria- tion. 2. There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-three, the sums following, that is to say,- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Nineteen million pounds ;

The sums granted by the first section of this Act ~ppropria- ~i::Str::ma and by "The Appropriation Act of 1960-1961, No. 2," and "The Appropriation Act of 1961-1962, No. l," and SurJ? 1Y which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G, services. and H of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as [Schedule, appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of ;!~tsH~· G, Two hundred and thirteen million five hundred and seventy thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed t,o have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-one, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts, F, G, and H respectively. 4. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay pay moneys as directed the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore by warrant. menti . oned , t o sueh persons, upon sueh days, a,nd m. suel 1 pro:portions a,s the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. Treasurer to 6 The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to be allowed . • . credit for time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money ~r ~~:!:!~ paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, warrant. in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. Indemnity. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Seven hundred and forty-seven thousand nine hundred and thirty-one pounds two shillings and eleven pence, Two million five hundred and twenty-seven thousand three hundred and fifty-three pounds fifteen shillings and three pence, and One million seven hundred and six thousand five hundred and four pounds four shillings and five pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in Parts [Schedule, marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby aPnadrt K s . I J , J, authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. Short tit le. 8.
