An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust and Special Funds to the Service of the Years ending on the last days of June, 1961 and 1962, and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June, 1960, and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament. [A ssented to 28 th N ovember , I960.] Most Gracious Sovereign,— E, Your Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal subjects, Preamble. the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice

No. 27, and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— tA[iSopcnph. reodpurliea,­ Parts 1 . mIanrkaedddirteiospnetcotivtehley sAev, eBra,l Csu, mDs, spaencdifiEed oinf tthhee PCa, Drt, saAn, dBE,.] tShcehedauultehtooritthyis oAfctt,haendswevheircahl suAmcstsarienpatyhaobslee uPnadretsr respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-one the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Thirty-two million pounds and Fifty-three million pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-one, by The Appropriation Act of 1959-1960, No. 2,” and The Appropriation Act of 1960-1961, No. 1 ,” respectively, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Ninety-two million four hundred and ninety-seven thousand eight hundred and twenty-one pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Seventy-nine million five hundred and eighty-six thousand eight hundred and ninety pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Twenty-nine million two hundred and twenty thousand pounds. Appropria­ tion. 2. There shall and may be issued and applied towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-two, the sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Eighteen million pounds;

From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Thirteen million pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Four million pounds. 123 3. The sums granted by the first section of this Act ^ppropria- and by The Appropriation Act of 1959-1960, No. 2,” voted for ”08 and The Appropriation Act of 1960-1961, No. 1,” and which are set forth in the Parts marked respectively F, G, ' and H of the Schedule to this Act, amounting as [Schedule, appears by the said Parts in all to the sum of Two hundred and one million three hundred and four thousand seven hundred and eleven pounds, are appropriated, and shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts, F, G, and H respectively. 4. There shall and may be issued and applied the Suppie- further sums following, that is to say,— ^^ria- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund OI f.f I c 9 io 6 n 0 , . 1959- Queensland (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Two million and twenty-two thousand three hundred and twelve pounds seven shillings and four pence; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of One million eight hundred and ninety-three thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven pounds seventeen shillings and four pence ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of One million one hundred and eighty-one thousand five hundred and sixteen pounds eleven shillings and ten pence; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of

The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay as directed the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore by warrant. mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. Treasurer to 6 . The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to cbreedaitllofowred time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money spuumrssuapnacide ionf paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, warrant. in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. Indemnity. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of Two million and twenty-two thousand three hundred and twelve pounds seven shillings and four pence, One million eight hundred and ninety-three thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven pounds seventeen shillings and four pence, and One million one hundred and eighty-one thousand five hundred and sixteen pounds eleven shillings and ten pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes P[ SacrhtesdIu,leJ, , expressed in Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule andK.] to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. Short title. 8. This Act may be cited as The Appropriation Act of 1960-1961, No. 2 .”
