An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust and Special Funds to the Service of the Years ending on the last days of June. 1960 and 1961. and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of Tune. 1959. and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament. Most Gracious Sovereign,— W E, Your Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, towards making good the suppl which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice
8 E liz . II. No. 44, 1959. Appropriation Act No. 2. 119 and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— 1. In addition to the several sums specified in the Appropria. Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of the [Schedule, Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under Part« a , b , the authority of the several Acts in those PartsC’D’and E'^ respectively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Thirty-two million pounds and Forty-eight million pounds already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty, by “ The Appropriation Act of 1958—1959, No. 2,” and “ The Appropriation Act of 1959-1960, No. 1,” respectively, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Eighty-six million five hundred and thirty-five thousand seven hundred and two pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Seventy-six million nine hundred thousand three hundred and two pounds ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Twenty-nine million two hundred and seventy-eight thousand pounds. 2. There shall and may be issued and applied Appropria. towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty t,on' for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-one, the sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to) the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the suijn of Sixteen million pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Twelve million pounds ;

Supple mentary appropria tion, 1958 1959. 4. There 3hall and may be issued and applied the further sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Q.ueens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of Eight hundred and twenty thousand two hundred and forty-seven pounds fifteen shillings and eleven pence ; From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of One million five hundred and eighteen thousand eight hundred and sixty-six pounds eleven shillings and one penny ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of One million five hundred thousand nine hundred and eighty-nine pounds and eleven pence ; to defray Supplementary Charges for the service of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked PSacrhtesdIu, lJe, , I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act. and K.] Treasurer to 5. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay pasaydimreocnteedys the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore by warrant. mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such proportions as the Governor, by any warrant or order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer,

Appropriation Act No. 2. 121 from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to Treasurer to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money credit*^ paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, sums paid in in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the of respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be * a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of indemnity, the said sums of Eight hundred and twenty thousand two hundred and forty-seven pounds fifteen shillings and eleven pence, One million five hundred and eighteen thousand eight hundred and sixty-six pounds eleven shillings and one penny, and One million five' hundred thousand nine hundred and eighty-nine pounds and eleven pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby and k.j ’ indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. 8. To the extent to which the several sums for Validation. Public Service Superannuation specified in the Part marked C of the Schedules respectively to “ The Appropriation Act of 1955-1956, No. 2,” “ The Appropriation- Act of 1956-1957, No. 2,” “ The Appropriation Act of 1957-1958, No. 2,” and “ The 1 Appropriation Act of 1958-1959, No. 2,” were not payable or applicable under the authority of “ The Public Service Superannuation Acts, 1912 to 1954,” or “ The Public Service Superannuation Act of 1958,” each such sum shall be and be deemed to have always been payable and applicable for Public Service Superannuation under the authority of the one of the Appropriation Acts hereinbefore mentioned in this section in which it was specified as aforesaid. 9. This Act may be cited as “ The Appropriation Short title. Act of 1959-1960, No. 2.”
