Appropriation Acts. 87 An Act to Apply certain Sums of Money out of the 7 i^y1- Consolidated Revenue Fund and Trust and t A ipopnro A pcrtioaf Special Funds to the Service of the Years ending on the last days of June, 1959 and 1960, and certain Further Sums to the Service of the Year ended on the last day of June, 1958, and to Appropriate the Supplies granted in the last and present Sessions of Parliament. [A ssented to 3 rd D ecember , 1958.] Most Gracious Sovereign,— \AT E, Your Majesty’s most dutiful and loyal Subjects, Preamble. V V the Legislative Assembly of Queensland ijn Parlia ment assembled, towards making good the supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in the last and present Sessions of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sums hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— 1. In addition to the several sums specified in the Appropria- Parts marked respectively A, B, C, D, and E of tbe^edule Schedule to this Act, and which sums are payable under Parts a , b , the authority of the several Acts in those Parts respec- °>D-and E-] tively mentioned, there shall and may be issued and applied, towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine the sums following, inclusive of the two sums of Twenty-eight million five hundred thousand pounds and Eorty-six million five hundred thousand pounds

No. 42, already authorised to be applied towards the service of the year ending on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine, by *“ The Appropriation Act of 1957-1958, No. 2,” and The Appropriation Act of 1958-1959, No. 1,” respectively, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Eighty-six million three hundred and twenty-six thousand and ninety-nine pounds ; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Seventy-four million six hundred and sixty-six thousand and thirty-one pounds ; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Twenty-seven million seven hundred and thirty-four thousand five hundred and eighty-two pounds; Appropria. 2. There shall and may be issued and applied 10n' towards making good the supplies granted to Her Majesty for the services of the year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and sixty, the sums following, that is to say,— From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), the sum of Sixteen million pounds; From the Trust and Special Funds, the sum of Twelve million pounds; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, the sum of Four million pounds. Appropriation Acts. appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, for the purposes and services expressed in the said Parts F, 0, and H respectively. j 4. There shall and may be issued and applied the Suppie- further sums following, that is to say,— JJjJ^Swpna- From the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Queens- land (exclusive of the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account), a further sum of One million two hundred and five thousand four hundred and twelve pounds eleven shillings and nine pence ; 1957* From the Trust and Special Funds, a further sum of Two million seven hundred and ninety-one thousand six hundred and fourteen pounds one shilling; From the moneys standing to the credit of the Loan Fund Account, a further sum of One million six hundred and ten thousand five hundred and ninety-two pounds fourteen shillings and ten pence ; to defray Supplementary Charges for the servfice of the year ended on the last day of June, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight, and such sums shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-sevjen, for the purposes and services expressed in the Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act. [Schedule, Parts I, J, and KJ 5. The Treasurer of the State shall issue and pay Treasurer to the said several sums for the purposes hereinbefore ^directed* mentioned, to such persons, upon such days, and in such by warrant, proportions as the Governor, by any warrant br order in writing under his hand and directed to the Treasurer, from time to time orders and directs, and the payments so made shall, according to the warrant, be charged upon and be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or the appropriate Trust or Special Fund. 6. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to Treasurer to time be allowed credit for any sum or sums of money credit^oT** paid by him in pursuance of any such warrants or orders, sums paid in in writing as aforesaid, and the receipt or receipts of the of

No. 42r respective persons to whom the moneys are paid shall be a full and valid discharge to the Treasurer in passing his accounts for any such sum or sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. Indemnity. [Schedule, Parts I, J, and K.j 7. The issue or application of any part or parts of the said sums of One million two hundred and five thousand four hundred and twelve pounds eleven shillings and nine pence, Two million seven hundred and ninety-one thousand six hundred and fourteen pounds one shilling, and One million six hundred and ten thousand five hundred and ninety-two pounds fourteen shillings and ten pence, which has been made before the passing of this Act for the purposes expressed in Parts marked I, J, and K of the Schedule to this Act, is hereby authorised and sanctioned, and the Treasurer is hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such issue or application. [A ssented to 16 th A pril , 1959.] E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, B by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— Short title. 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as “ The Constitution Acts Amendment Act of 1959.” Collective (2.) *“ The Constitution Acts, 1867 to 1957,” and title. this Act may be collectively cited as “ The Constitution Acts, 1867 to 1959.” Application. (3.) This Act applies as well to members of the present and every past Legislative Assembly as to the members of every Legislative Assembly hereafter to be summoned and chosen. * 31 Y.
